Itacira Credidio Galasso (Brazil, 1979) graduated from the Universidade de Belas Artes de São Paulo in 2002, continued her studies in Italy in the fashion sector, working as a Stylist for television advertisements and Visual Merchandiser at the Diesel brand clothing store. In 2009 she completed an intensive course in theater and television with the Hollywood actor and director Michael Rodgers, then embarking on an acting career in Brazil until 2015, when she returned to Italy to dedicate herself again to artistic projects.In 2022 she continued her studies academics attending the two-year sculpture course at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, Milan. Currently, she works in a collective studio where she develops her personal sculpture projects. Her works often draw inspiration from reality and reflect on cultural and political stereotypes, interpersonal relationships and violent dynamics, both physical and symbolic. She is also interested in gender issues related to the female universe and the "dark side" of human existence in the contemporary world. Her work is characterized by a combination of seduction and restlessness, creating works that invite reflection and contemplation.
